One of a kind motel

Pros: As soon as we got to the Shady Lady we were made to feel at home! We stayed in the paradise suite, which we absolutely loved. The building itself was fascinating and really enjoyed the breakfast. We have stayed in 9 hotels on our trip and this was by far our favourite and one we will remember for a long time! This was down to Jennifer, Nigel and Paul being the best hosts we could have asked for.

Pros: Best stay ever! Jennifer, Nigel and Paul are awesome! Sitting at the patio in the middle of the desert have an ice cold beer and a barbecue with them is simply great! Hope we‘ll be back soon.

Pros: An absolutely amazing place. It’s quirky, it’s quiet and it’s just a magical place. The owners were so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Paul you are without a doubt the nicest person I met on my trip. If you like stargazing this is a bortle 1 sky zone and you have a whole desert to wonder into. The peacocks and wildlife added to its charm. I’d 100% stay here again.

Cons: Nothing at all it was perfect.

Pros: Fine american breakfast, very nice conversation with the owner and the other guests at the large table in the dining room, outstanding lookout into the desert and the mountains close to the area 51, quite surrounding, in the night beautiful sight to the sky with the milky way,

It’s a bit different here.

Pros: Very (and I can’t stress this enough) nice and helpful owners. Peacocks, dog, cat, goat all very nice. Tasty breakfast at a large table with the other guests, which encourages conversation. Veranda for evening drinks and stargazing. Lovely and unique interior. Will definitely come again if I’m in that area.

Cons: While it’s cool to be in the middle of nowhere, it would’ve been nicer to be a little bit closer to Beatty. Thin blanket. All of the interior has its charm, but some of it could use a bit of renovation (e.g. some loose floor tiles).

Pros: Absolutely sublime team of Jennifer , Nigel and newcomer Paul Immediately became long lost friends and their hospitality is second to none Former brothel with former fittings - enjoy 😂 Isolated location on way to Las Vegas easy to find and great car parking
