Beautiful, modern and well stocked new rental property near the American River! Helpful hosts.

Pros: This house was super modern and beautiful, with plenty of amenities - brand new open kitchen with island, plenty of cooking equipment, outdoor gas grill, balcony with an incredible view of the lake and sunset views, dishwasher and washer/dryer, and an outdoor dining / seating area. Location is close to many American River attractions (e.g., Auburn State Recreation Area, whitewater rafting). Great for an overnight trip with 4+ friends.

Cons: Because we were one of the first tenants on the property (and the first on Booking.com), there were a few small things that weren't fully ready - e.g., payment via Booking.com, we ran out of gas which affected our gas stove and hot water, and Wi-Fi was a bit spotty. However, our host and the property manager was very responsive over text about these issues, and sent someone to help us address these. House was wonderful -- only potential improvement would be adding blinds to the living room to block out sunlight for those sleeping in the living room.
