A home away from home.

Pros: It’s a cute cottage, very homey feeling, very quiet neighborhood, very private also. It has everything you need to live a simple life.

Cons: The porch lights should be in a timer and not sensored due to we cannot see the car outside when it’s night time. The can opener does not work at all when we tried to open a canned good. There should be an air freshener in the bathroom.

Personal views of Acorn Cottage

Pros: My wife wanted to see Yosemite. I found Acorn Cottage and it fit our budget. Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised. I would recommend anyone looking for a place to stay near Yosemite to try Acorn Cottage.

Cons: The bunk bed's lower bed, really not ideal for couple. So my wife took lower bunk, I slept in upper bunk. Wife said best sleep she had in years. Don't know if it was mattress or laughing at my climbing ladder to upper bunk.

Perfect lodging for two 20 minutes from Yosemite southern entrance

Pros: Truly a hidden gem. The cottage was very clean and in a quiet spot. we sat on the porch one night and enjoyed the quiet. The host was very nice and helpful. Close to restaurants, gas stations and stores.

Cons: Smaller than the pictures show but perfect for two people with little luggage.
