Hawk's Rest

Great experience and super cozy.

Pros: Wow, you really sleep in a proper tree house and there's nothing you'd miss! The veranda is perfect for a drink at sunset and the bed is super cozy.

Cons: In summertime it can be really warm until it finally cools down around 4 am. But there are lots of fans and air conditioning.

Pros: Amazing place! Loved the location close to Yosemite. Super unique place which was a treehouse with goat neighbors. Super quiet and just loved it overall!

Fab, quirky accommodation

Pros: Quirky fun accommodation with everything we needed. Great location, easy to get to nearest town and eady access to Yosemites sights. Lovely host, he lit a fire pit for us and gave us great advice on places to visit. The kids loved the adventure of spending a couple of nights in a tree house

Cons: The pull out bed was broken, not the hosts fault as the previous guests hadn't reported it to him. But we put the mattress on the floor and were very comfortable.

Childhood dream come true.

Pros: This is such a unique stay for those wanting to experience Yosemite. You’re only 45 min from the South entrance or 1 1/2 hours from the main entrance. It’s a gorgeous spot with friendly goats, cats, and people! We stayed two nights but wished we could have stayed forever.

We would love to come back.

Pros: Gorgeous, peaceful property and thoughtfully maintained treehouse. We loved the goats so much! So friendly! Just an amazing peaceful place to calm and relax your mind. Lovely friendly orange cat hung out on porch. Quail running all around. We heard owls one night.

Cons: Liked everything!!! It got cold at night but there’s a great heater!

Incredible experience that we'd do again in a heartbeat!

Pros: Rusty and his wife are AMAZING hosts! The treehouse is so cool and well put together. It has everything you need to sleep comfortably and room to sleep 4 people. Rusty has 17 goats on the property as well as 2 cats and 2 dogs and they're all friendly. Our 7 year old had a blast playing with the animals. The treehouse has an on-demand water heater so you can shower as long as you like, and the uniqueness of the shower was so fun (single person only though, just so you're aware). I won't spoil the experience for you. You're close to Oakhurst where there are restaurants and food stores. Rusty had great recommendations for the town and for Yosemite. He and his wife are world travelers and have great stories to tell! They also have \

Cons: It's small, but it's a TREEHOUSE!! It's way more spacious than you'd think and the 3 of us stayed no problem. There are mosquitos but they don't get into the treehouse, just be aware.

Pros: Es ist ein ein Baumhaus wie es sein soll. Eine Mischung aus Abenteuer und Komfort. Alles ein bisschen klein, aber gemütlich. Check in war perfekt vorbereitet. Wir hatten einen gemütlichen Aufenthalt. Wenn die Abendsonne auf die Terrasse scheint ist die Welt in Ordnung. Das Baumhaus liegt in perfekter Ruhelage und zu Restaurants hat man auch nur 10 Minuten..

Cons: Die Stufen in den oberen Stock ins Bett sind etwas hoch.

Toller und abenteuerlicher Aufenthalt!

Pros: Unser Aufenthalt im Hawk's Rest war super! Wir kamen recht spät an der Unterkunft an, doch Rusty hat auf uns gewartet und uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Im Baumhaus zu übernachten ist ein bisschen abenteuerlich, aber total schön. Morgens wacht man auf und blickt vom Bett aus den kleinen Fenstern im obersten Stockwerk in die Natur (und auf Ziegen). Der Platz war überschaubar, aber die Unterkunft war schön ausgestattet und auch der Außenbereich war liebevoll hergerichtet. Hier sieht man, dass alles mit Liebe gebaut und ausgestattet wurde und man fühlt sich sehr willkommen.

Cons: Für die Anreise sollte man auf jeden Fall den CA-41 nehmen und nicht die Rd 600 - egal, was das GPS sagt (es sei denn, man hat ein entsprechendes Auto und es ist hell draußen). Zudem sollte man bei Insekten nicht zu empfindlich sein, doch das weiß man ja eigentlich, wenn man ein Baumhaus bucht. Uns hat alles super gefallen!

Pros: The building was very unique and very well built. Creative thought was put into the building of it. It was rustic and would not suit someone looking for luxury. However I loved it, slept well, enjoyed my stay.

Cons: The steps leading to the loft were too far apart for me to easily climb up and down to the loft.

Pros: So calm and peaceful. Great adventure and experience.
