Truckee Mountain Retreat

Pros: Clean, comfortable, well appointed, some spices helped with cooking

Cons: Not much. the key code was so long we couldnt memorize it which meant putting down things in the snow to get out our phone in order to enter.

Pros: Very comfortable stay, convenient to hiking trails.

Beautiful cabin at great value

Pros: Beautiful cabin with great location. Spacious and clean. Great value. They worked through Vacasa, and I thought they were going to be like Airbnb asking me to basically clean the whole house, but it’s not the case. They were so much more relax. Of course you have to be respectful.

Cons: No a/c but it is stated in the description

Cozy and comfortable

Pros: The house was immaculate and the home was comfortable, including the beds and living space. The location was about 30 minutes from Palisades Tahoe. The association plowed the driveway after it snowed and they kept the roads pretty well maintained for winter storm weather.

Cons: The charges of $20 per person per day to use the rec. center including the gym, pool, hot tub and sauna. Extra charge to snowshoe or cross country ski in Tahoe donner property separate from any gear you might need to rent. Hot water was sparse…2 showers in a row and then the water gets cold.

Clean, spacious mountain getaway!

Pros: The house was very comfortable and clean. Check in and check out was very easy. The kitchen was incredibly well stocked, which it was so appreciated to have things like oils, spices, etc and not have to buy or bring all of that. It was very comfortable for our family of 4, and our kids enjoyed playing in the snow out back. The location nearby Tahoe Donner was great. The guest passes for Tahoe Donner were appreciated but not well called out. I hadn't realized we would have access to that ahead of time and might have easily booked things online without knowing we could get a guest rate. That said, unfortunately, the guest rate really only seemed to save you a couple of dollars per person on most things anyway.

Cons: One of my few complaints is SO MANY EMAILS. I've counted at least 16 emails since booking in addition to multiple text messages.

Comfy stay for a small family

Pros: Location, open concept, updated bathrooms. Overall comfortable stay for a very reasonable price.

Cons: Kitchen shelf collapsed due to loose support peg, resulting in broken coffee mugs, we found quite a few pegs not secured, one of the towel rack handle fell off on my husband's foot. We notified management they were responsive. However I would be surprised if these issues were not reported previously. It was really unsafe for guests, wish they addressed it before our stay.
