Glamping Dome 1 - 10 minutes from Kings Canyon

Wow what a stay!

Pros: Wow what a stay this was, we were on our honeymoon on a road trip and this was the perfect stay for a relaxing evening. The hosts thought of EVERYTHING, it was equipped with everything you need from cooking, to storing food and the TV was great with Netflix and other channels. We spent most of the evening outside where everything came to life, with zero light pollution the scenery was literally out of this world. Some of the wild life we seen where deer, chipmunks, owls and many other creatures. We even seen a falcon 9 rocket take off which was a bucket list item! The bathroom facilities were great just a short walk from the dome and again had everything. If I ever end up in the king's canyon area again its 100% stay for us!

Cons: It was fine for us as we were given a Land Rover Defender as a courtesy car but the dirt track up to the domes could be challenging for some type of cars, narrow, steep and rocky.

a perfect stay to visit King's Canyon and Sequoia NP

Pros: Position of the dome is perfect to visit King's Canyon The Sequoia NP is far away, general Sherman is about 1h drive We visited both NP in one day, by staying in the glamping dome 2 nights the dome is fantastic, place is quiet and clean, only down is the bathroom outside the room but it is very manageable (if it doesn't rain...) everything is perfectly clean, the check-in was straighforward

An idyllic stay in the forest, birds and lizards galore. Very sad to leave…

Pros: Peace. Natural environment. Rustic ambience. Outdoor kitchen. Watching woodpeckers as we cooked supper on the outside bbq. Gazing at the stars. Listening to the birdsong in the morning. We loved it….

Cons: Comms via booking com was disjointed and key info was buried in multiple vague emails. Not sure if focus was on ‘Glamping’ or ‘rustic’ - we loved the natural environment and the birdsong. I could imagine others being disappointed in the ports cabin toilets, the unswept deck, and lack of clothing storage. Also the ‘kitchen’ in the tents is only suitable for breakfast, very little space to prep food. Outdoor kitchen was fine, and loved the bbq. Some guests might be off put by the obvious animal activity traces… not clear when that kitchen was last cleaned!

Roomy dome, comfy bed, fridge/microwave/coffee maker, hot shower, stars... ~15mins to NP entrance !

Pros: Location close to NP entrance. Full comfort and sizeable dome meant glamping with 'in-room' mini-kitchenette. Bathroom route was lit and not too far, with decent shower (though despite keeping the bathroom door locked, we had to check there was no extra visitor before sitting down due to a very persistent frog !! :D) Dark skies were great for stargazing.

Cons: The road up to the property was pretty steep and bumpy, one spot in particular we were pleased to have 4x4. Not criticising the location (which was def. a plus) however would advise travelers to plan where to buy groceries or stop for meals out/back.

Pros: A brilliant location for a couple of days exploring kings canyon and sequoia national parks. The big trees are spectacular. The glamping pod was so well kitted out with everything you could need and a comfy bed and aircon.

Cons: The road in is uneven and our rental car struggled a bit.

Pros: The perfect place to stay in Sequoia National Park! Everything was clean, bad sheets, floor, tables, dishes… The view was also very good. In the morning birds were singing. If I come to Sequoia Park, I will stay here.

Pros: All the little things that you might need were there. We loved the outdoor kitchen and picnic table. Amazing views and very comfortable and homey.
