An old historic lake resort is being upgraded significantly by the new owner… comfortable and great location.

Pros: Location.. just across from the lake, ie walking distance to the lake.. fun classic old bar. Lots of hot water for showers and good ceiling fan for warmer weather, coffee pot easy to use, plenty of bedding and comfortable beds. Cabins have been significantly upgraded.

Cons: The price. Shower nozzle needs to be adjustable so that a person can get in and out of the shower without water spraying all over. We never were able to get the heater working in the early morning… not sure if it was functional ; it looked like a new wall unit.

Great location, great staff at the restaurant and bar.

Pros: It was close for our backpacking trip out of Edison lake. The room was neat and clean. The restaurant was great, tasty food! Staff were friendly and helpful. Lots of extra linen for the bathroom and bed. Quite area.

Cons: The shower could use adjusting the door to open in some fashion that the water doesn’t spray out if you want to turn the water on before you enter. But it is fine as long as you get in before you turn it on.

Perfect end to a day on a mountain of snow

Pros: What a hidden gem just minutes from China Peak mountain! We were immediately impressed by the hospitality of the staff, the room was a perfect size with plenty of privacy, a nice hot shower and an excellent wall heater. Beds were so cozy and the entire room was very clean. We loved the fridge, microwave and easy to use coffee maker. Also the restaurant/bar had great drinks and food.

Cons: Not a single thing wrong!
