Cedar Pines Resort

Overall a pleasant stay.

Pros: A cute little cottage, very good location, close to the main road, yet quiet. Close to restaurants and shopping, and about 5 miles to Heavenly. Cottage was clean, I had made a special request for good cleaning after reading some of the reviews. Lots of room to store belongings. Cottage was well insulated, so held the heat well. Kitchen had enough cooking utensils. Clean beds, clean towels. Enough beds for the 4 of us.

Cons: Nothing major to dislike. But points to note: 1.- This is not a resort, it has no amenities, just self contained cottages in a pretty setting with trees. 2- Kitchen has no consumables, not even basic stuff like salt, oil. 2- There was a coffeemaker, but no coffee. 3.- No warm blankets or comforters provided. Not an issue if heater ON at night, else bring your own blankets (which we did, after reading some reviews on this). 4.-Floor could do with some better cleaning.

Pros: We loved that this was slightly off the main Tahoe road and it gave a more secluded feel without being too far from the fun.

Cons: The cabin could have been a little more clean

Pros: Location was great and host made sure that we had extra blankets.

Cons: Heating unit is pretty loud, especially in the downstairs bathroom but not sure that anything can be done about that.

Cozy mountain getaway with friends

Pros: Ambience and the cottage itself.cozy ànd kitchen facilities.complete amenities.lots of rooms it accomodates 5..accesible to attractions and stores

Cons: Flusher kept coming off stairs are too narrow.incomplete lighting inside and out.missing bulbs at the porch

It was perfect for my family and exactly what we needed!

Pros: Loved how close it was to everything and how secluded it was.

Cons: Feel like there could always be some updates with places you stay at. Possibly add some outdoor seating or area to have a fire pit as we had to walk to the campgrounds to enjoy that.

Great value, great location! Had everything we needed to cook.

Pros: Reasonable accommodations for great price. A great empty lot next door to walk/play dogs.

Cons: Needed some upkeep ( loose boards on deck, key box difficult to put key in, crumbs under upstairs mattress).

I would stay again for it was perfect with my grandkids and lots of other families stayed there so kids for them to play

Pros: Love the location and it was very quiet . Just the perfect little cabin

Cons: It wasn’t very clean but call management and they took care of it right away

Pros: Kitchen was well equipped with newer pots, pans, knives, utensils, etc. Mattresses were comfortable.

Cons: Stayed in Unit 2. The furnace is next to the bedroom and is very loud. Kept waking us up every time it kicked on, so we slept in the loft. Kitchen exhaust fan doesn't vent to the outside, just recirculates unhealthy combustion gases inside the house. We had to open the windows and door to vent out in 30 degree F weather whenever we used the stove.

Awesome beautiful peaceful

Pros: Very cozy, comfortable beds, all the amenities you'd need for an extended stay, great location away from all the hustle and bustle near the lake and county line. I travel a lot and have stayed in many different types of locations, I would most definitely rank Cedar Pines in my top 5, maybe top 3 stays of all time! Would love to visit again in the winter!

Cons: We loved everything! So it's hard to come up with anything we didn't like about our stay, but; The loft sleeping area seemed to be more geared towards little kids, our 13 y/o had to hunch and crawl around up there but she didn't complain. Had a hard time getting the shower to work at first (older fixtures) but we figured it out, also the TV was a little wonky. That's about it, all very minor things that did not effect our enjoyment of the stay at all. We will be back!
