Close to Yosemite

Pros: Shower had great pressure, cute room, easy check in after hours

Cons: Wifi could’ve been better

Pros: Nice area, the bed was very comfy and the position pretty convenient for Yosemite

Cons: There is no laundry. The curtain in the shower is too short and you will easily flood the bathroom

A charming, clean, and perfectly located base for exploring Yosemite and the historic town of Mariposa.

Pros: The location was excellent—right in the heart of Mariposa with easy walking to all the restaurants and the YARTS bus stop for Yosemite. The room was very clean, and the bed was extremely comfortable. The garden patio was a nice, quiet place to relax in the morning.

Cons: Nothing Major

Perfect

Pros: The accodomation looked way better than the pictures, so we were pleasently surprised. I could tell it was just freshly renovated. Comfortable beds. 1h drive to Yosemite park. They leave keys at the door so you can check in whenever you want. The room had a hair dryer, microwave and mini fridge.

Good and cosy

Pros: The check-in and check-out process is very easy and don't require to speak with anyone. The area is lovely, with many places where to eat and drink. The parking is also easy to access and it is very quite at night.

Charming and Authentic Stay

Pros: This small hotel, with just 8-9 rooms, was a delightful and quiet place to stay. Parking is conveniently located right near the rooms, and there are a few outdoor tables where you can relax and enjoy dinner or drinks. The location is perfect—right in the heart of the city—making it easy to explore the main street on foot. One highlight was the amazing café near the hotel, which offers a 20% discount for guests. We had a delicious breakfast there and even grabbed some lunch to take with us on our Yosemite trip. The room was cozy and small but had a charming, authentic feel. While the rooms are not brand new, they were clean and had everything needed for a one- or two-night stay. I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to travelers who value character and adventure over modern amenities. It’s a great spot to experience something unique and local!

Cons: The coffee machine in the room was out of order, but it didn’t affect our stay.

Great! Would stay again if we ever manage to come back to Yosemite.

Pros: Great location for getting to Yosemite, and Mariposa was a lovely little stop off point with cute shops and bars. We arrived late in the evening and check in was easy, parking was available outside the room and key was left in the door for us. The place looks dated but in a good way, very quirky and authentic. The on site cafe staff were fantastic and the grilled cheese sandwiches were epic!

Cons: Couldn’t get the showers hot. So was a chilly start to the day!! WiFi wasn’t great. But had signal on mobile network so not a massive issue.

Comfy, easy, convenient, cosy.

Pros: Super easy check in after hours (chalkboard told us which room was ours, keys were already waiting in the door). Cosy charm to the room. Good microwave and mini fridge facilities. Bed was comfy, lots of pillows. (Tip: the shower does get warm, just leave the hot top running for 1 min and I promise it eventually gets hot).

Cons: The WiFi was pretty poor. I had better mobile reception with my phone carrier and that was only one 1 or 2 bars.

River Rock Inn Rocks!

Pros: Even though River Rock Inn looks a bit dated, we really enjoyed our quaint space. The staff were very helpful, the space felt clean, and it has everything we needed (a microwave!!!). The in-house cafe was also a bonus and just what we needed to start off the day right. Thank you!

Cons: The room was a bit dark, but maybe it was meant to be part of the charm 😅
