Queen's Inn By The River

Pros: Great localisation. Room was big enough, bathroom a bit tiny. It was clean and equipped as described. In a good driving distance from Yosemite.

Good location for Yosemite

Pros: Staying in Yosemite Park was just too expensive and this was a reasonable option, only 20-25 min to the gate. Nice to be able to make our own breakfast and light evening meal as there was a coffee machine, fridge and microwave, and we could sit at the table and chairs on the small outside deck. Two good supermarkets nearby which we drove to.

Cons: Really could have done with some very basic cutlery and crockery - just a handful of plastic / paper cups were provided. We had to buy plastic cutlery and paper plates from the supermarket in Oakhurst so that we could eat there.

Close to Yosemite

Pros: There was a cat that loved attention, which was definitely a big plus. The cabins were cozy and nicely decorated, and the location close to Yosemite Park was very convenient. Self check-in and check-out made everything easy. We had two very pleasant nights here.

Pros: beautiful terrasse and view into the nature - great for bird watching; fridge in separate room, hence no noises!

Pleasant location, does not feel that you are in a large town. Easy drive to Yosemite.

Pros: Pretty grounds and spacious accommodation. We stayed in one of the cabins on a Tuesday night so missed food and wine. Did not see any staff but keys and instructions left for checking in/checking out. Friendly cat a bonus! Small kitchenette in the room and lots of info provided about the local area, where to eat etc.

Pros: Great location and accommodation in cabin. Travelled around north and south California and this was by far the best accommodation of the trip - lovely being in the countryside, dark evening and quiet for sleeping in prep for a big day at Yosemite. Only 30 mins drive to the entrance to the national park, it is about 1 hour into the actual park but the scenery is phenomenal. Only downside was that we were staying Sunday and Monday evening and missed out on the facilities at the adjoining winery. Very short drive to other amenities - shops, restaurants and fuel station.

Nice and chilled cabin

Pros: Quiet and secluded with a lovely wine bar and beer garden.

Cons: The air con was loud during the night and would have liked a more simple menu from the restaurant as you can’t walk to any restaurants near by.

Ideal Overnight Stay

Pros: Ideal location for our Yosemite stay. We only stayed overnight before moving into Yosemite.

Very pleasent stay

Pros: Friendly staff, cozy cabin, comfortable and wide beds

Cons: There is absolutely no way to prevent light from entering all windows, meaning that light-sensitive sleepers will wake up early when the sun starts to rise
