Pros: The motel is conveniently located and was clean and comfortable during my stay. I had no issues with the room or the location and everything was as expected. After my stay, I realized that I had accidentally left my second phone at the motel. The staff were very kind and helpful in this situation. They confirmed that the phone was found and later helped arrange shipping so I could get it back, which I truly appreciated. Thank you to the team for your help and for handling this situation with care.

Great rooms, friedly service.

Pros: I’ve stayed at El Portal three times, and I’ll definitely come back again. The motel offers spacious rooms equipped with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Ray, the office manager, is incredibly kind and always goes the extra mile to help and accommodate your needs. In fact, the excellent service she provided is the reason I chose to return for my third stay.

Simple, no-frills stay as expected

Pros: Easy access, easy check-in and check-out, clean and as expected.

Traditional

Pros: A lovely little traditional motel with everything you need. The rooms are clean and comfortable with tea and coffee making facilities and a large fridge. The lady at the front desk was helpful and welcoming and we even had a visit from a donkey while we sat outside our room with a glass of wine ! The location is good for visiting Death Valley and all the other local sites. The pool area is nice for cooling off although it's a little tired it's still nice and clean.

Pros: Good value, spacious room. Ice machine would be the only improvement I'd suggest. Good pool too.

Cons: No ice machine.

Pros: Friendly, clean, comfortable and great value for money. Oh, I forgot the visit from the town donkeys.

Cons: Nothing.

I would recommend this motel

Pros: This is a cozy motel. The beds are comfortable and everything is very clean. The room is small but adequate for 2 people. I have stayed here 4 times now and would recommend it. It is situated on the edge of town so is quiet at night. Love the resident friendly cat and also enjoyed a visit from a couple of the famous Beatty donkeys!

Cons: I do not have any complaints.

Pros: Warm welcome from the staff, quick book in and comfortable room. Minor issue with electrics was solved by the owner very quickly.

Cons: Nothing.

Fantastic

Pros: Relaxed, massive room, super comfy and homely, great location

Cons: Bathroom shower head/bath curtain a bit tricky to use - could do with an update but hardly an issue

Pros: Pleasant facility and good location with reasonable rates.

Cons: Missing a few items such cups,kleenex.
