Pros: Room was very quiet, not sure if we even had neighbours. Motel offered breakfast of a sort despite not mentioning that on their listing. It was a mixed bag of offerings (sweets, bagels, ramen, coffee..) but most welcome. Friendly staff, excellent location.

Cons: Ice machine broken, whole place a little run down and needing TLC but clearly being improved by current owners. Prices were best value in Mammoth but that still doesn't mean cheap.

Magical Mountain Stay

Pros: Great location ten mins walk from the village gondola to the canyon lodge. Close to the bus stops to go everywhere else. Lovely friendly staff - nice that they had breakfast included and mountain snacks.

Cons: Our first room was a bit cold - had to ask for extra blankets. The second room we had was much warmer.

Affordable and simple, easy booking.

Pros: Location was very practical for my needs and at a good value. Just needed to stay to resupply for a trip and I can say I would stay here again if in the area.

Great 1-night stay

Cons: Windows looked very old, but nothing that bothered us specifically.

Quick stay in Mammoth at a pet friendly motel where the staff gave us the warmest welcome.

Pros: I love the huge room, and the heater worked well, and it was clean. Loved being in Mammoth and the price was reasonable.

Cons: The refrigerator in the room was constantly making a loud buzz which interrupted my sleep at times. I advise looking at the refrigerator in Room 116.

Pros: Plenty of room for everyone and gear. Hot water runs nice and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I really like that the toilet and sink are split up. Made it easy to get ready with multiple people.

Cons: Could definitely use more hooks to hang jackets or towels. And the heater was a bit weak, but the room did warm up after some time.

Exceeded Expectations in a Great Location

Pros: We had a very pleasant stay at Ventura Grand Inn. The location is perfect for chasing fall colors — just 8 minutes to Twin Lake and 30 minutes to Convict Lake. The hotel exceeded our expectations; the listing photos don’t do it justice. The property is beautifully decorated in a rustic country style, and our room was very spacious, clean, and equipped with a microwave and fridge that worked perfectly. The owner/receptionist was extremely friendly and helpful. When we accidentally left our room key one night, he came to our rescue within minutes — such a thoughtful touch! There’s also plenty of free parking. Overall, a highly recommended stay for anyone visiting the area.
