A Good Night's Sleep in the Pines

Pros: As a basic hotel, Westhaven Inn, was very adequate for our one night stay. The room was large and clean. It is not fancy, but that was fine with us. We had no problems, so all was well.

Cons: The decor is a bit dated, but that was not a major issue for us.

Great place to stay the night at when enjoying the beauty around during the day

Pros: Large Balcony very enjoyable, comfortable bathtub with slight reclining angle and arm rests, picnic tables were nice to enjoy a meal. The room smelled good. Nice rustic feel

Cons: My only complaint unfortunately is the bed, so firm that my body still hurts days later and not enough pillows to even try to find a comfortable position. I was surprised seeing 2 pillows per bed, 2 is not enough when pillows are small

Pros: Nice stop to stay for an early morning at Sierra at Tahoe. Quiet. Easy check in. Large clean rooms.

Great spot on the way to tahoe

Pros: Great spot on the way to tahoe, about an hour outside of south lake tahoe. It was newly renovated, and the room was huge. Check in was smooth and the guy at the desk was nice.

Cons: If I was to get nit picky, the room was super big and didn't have many furnishings so it looked a little bare. But that's a super nit pick.

No bugs clean and great place to spend the night

Pros: I liked how fast the host is to fix any problem we had. Friendly. My daughter and I had a great time.

Very pleasant, no frills stay in Pollock Pines

Pros: Our room was huge and our beds and bedding were comfortable. Everything worked perfectly in the room, e.g. heater, shower, etc. Staff was very pleasant and check-in/out was quick and simple. It was a very pleasant stay for us.

Cons: Some elements of the room were in need of repair or replacing, e.g. no functioning stopper in one of the sinks. The hotel abuts the freeway, so it can be noisy (thank goodness for the continuous fan option in the heater!)

Cozy, clean hotel with friendly staff.

Pros: The hotel has been recently renovated, and the rooms are freshly resurfaced and well maintained. The concierge was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I would recommend this hotel to others.

Cons: One of the small windows in the room lacked curtains. If you are sensitive to light, it can be an issue.

A great experience, just what we needed.

Pros: The new beds and flooring are great. They were working on updating the tv’s and tables/chairs in other rooms at the time so those will be new next time we visit. The staff were all super friendly. This is on the east end of Apple Hill which is perfect since we come from that side. The security cameras and automatic lights around the property make me feel safe.

Cons: The bathrooms still need some updating but they’re working on that. Not a lot of food options without driving west a bit. But it’s not that far. However this feels like a better neighborhood than the motels closer to placerville where more options are.

Very pleasant owners, comfortable rooms that still need some attention to detail.

Pros: Room was spacious, bed was comfortable with nice linens. Had good noise insulation. Minutes from freeway, restaurants and grocery store.

Cons: New owners are in the process of updating rooms, so not everything was working properly or finished yet. Would have liked some sheers on windows so room could get some light without total exposure to walkway. TV is small with limited choices.

Pros: Very nice place for the value. Clean, good location, and responsive staff. I would stay again.
