Red Tail Ranch

Pros: Everything, oak meadow, wildlife, birds,hot tub and relative quietness ,had place to ourselves most of the time.

Fabulous place!!

Pros: Very chilled, quiet, relaxing, hot tub was great especially the star gazing. Room very comfortable and spacious. Outdoor kitchen needs updating though.

Wonderful and quiet place.

Pros: Very nice place in a ranch. Wonderful and quiet. Bring your own food a prepare yourself diner, whatching the sunset. Lots of birds. That’s all you will hear.

Cons: It is one hour drive to Yosemite valley

Very tranquil in a beautiful setting

Pros: The accommodation was beautiful, modern, and exceptionally clean. There was plenty of space outside to relax and sit comfortably, and the private hot tub was fantastic — a great addition to our stay. The host was very helpful, providing information about local places to visit and even letting us use his fridge freezer in the garage, which was a huge help as we had a lot of food and drink to keep cool. Overall, a wonderful place to stay with excellent hospitality.

Cons: The only small downsides were that the outdoor grill wasn’t working during our stay (despite our best efforts to mend it), so we ended up cooking all our meals on a single pan burner, and the fridge freezer in the room was quite small. If you’re planning a full self-catering holiday where you bring all your food with you and prepare all your meals, you might find it a bit limiting unless the BBQ is repaired and there’s access to more refrigeration space. That said, these were minor inconveniences in what was otherwise a fantastic stay, and they didn’t take away from how much we enjoyed the property and the excellent hospitality.

Pros: Perfect location for Yosemite and everything you needed to stay around, eat and rest your legs for the next day.

Great quiet place to rest after hiking Yosemite

Pros: Our stay was wonderful, it is a beautiful spot, very quiet with a hot pool outside. Groveland is relatively close to Yosemite park and there are plenty of restaurants around to eat in the evening. The room could be divided a bit better (no real kitchen, huge shower) but for a few nights, this was perfectly fine.

A wonderful, relaxing retreat on the edge of Yosemite - highly recommend

Pros: Such a wonderful little ranch on the edge of Yosemite. The accommodation was just as detailed in the photos/description but even more stunning in real life. The bungalow was finished to a really high standard and in an area of such natural beauty. We wished we could have stayed longer. When we had an issue with the hot tub, Len was very quick to respond and we came home from a long day of walking to a very welcome relaxing soak! Couldn't recommend more highly

A piece of heaven in California!

Pros: Stunning, private location. Wildlife all around and a beautiful hot tub for the evenings. Great outdoor cooking facilities which we really enjoyed using one evening. Close to Groveland for amenities and restaurants if needed. The room was clean and had everything and more we wanted. Close enough to Yosemite to explore every day. It was a really special stay

Very nice stay

Pros: Very nice place to stay. Everything perfect, good communication, no issues at all. Enjoyed being able to do our own cooking on the BBQ. Will return at some point
