The Federal Hotel Downtown Carson City

Pros: Clean, comfortable beds, comfortable shower, not a bath.

Cons: Loud outdated air conditioner, no mosquito net on the balcony. Stuffy, we lived on the 4th floor, but it smelled a lot of cigarettes from the lobby and casino.

Pros: Having Blackbear restaurant connect to hotel is nice

Pros: I been to this hotel numerous times. Always very satisfied great place

Pros: The location is easy walking to downtown. The room was a good value, clean and well furnished.

Cons: The only thing that would take away from an excellent score, is a remodel is going on. This is not the fault for the Hotel, as they accommodated us very well considering this.

I would definitely stay here again.

Pros: The staff and manager at the front desk were polite, helpful and very pleasant.

Cons: Walking into the smoke filled casino.

Pros: All staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good and facility was pretty clean (some areas can use touch up due to ongoing remodeling). Location was great and walking distance to the venue we were going to, plus the free parking was great.

Cons: Price was a little high for no extra perks like pool, hot tub, gym or outside patio area. Overall, it was a good experience and enjoyed our stay.

Pros: The lady at the customer service was helpful Because my booking had some issues even though I had a booking number she still could not find it but let me stay at the hotel.

Cons: The smoke downstairs

It was somewhere I would stay again in Carson City

Pros: Staff was exceptional. Great happy hour menu and prices. Nice restaurant.

My stay was just fine.

Pros: My room on the 3rd floor had been renovated and was very clean. The bathroom room had not been renovated yet but was clean. The bathroom is very small and there is nothing that can be done about that. Only way to help the bathroom would be to remove the current tub and shower and install a walk-in shower. The newly remodeled restaurant (open from 7:00am to 2:00pm)was very good and the service was excellent. The staff was friendly and very polite. I did not have any problem with the lobby smelling like smoke. We would stay at this hotel again. Jack L

Cons: Small bathroom and it takes around 8 minutes to get hot water.

Pros: Renovations make the Hotel a catch to stay at. I didn't read the whole hotel description and was pleasantly surprised that there was a restaurant AND casino built in.

Cons: The carpet had debris on it, maybe missed the vacuuming? Might think about getting air fresheners for the elevators. I'm a smoker, but pretty conscientious of maybe those non-smokers.
