Historic Dow Hotel

Pros: The location, the kind personnel, the decoration and ambiance.

Brilliant place

Pros: A great hotel/ motel with character in a great town.

Pros: The old, very small rooms. And the historical atmosphere.

Cons: The mattresses could use renewal.

A nice hotel let down by the room temperature.

Pros: The room was good but due to the old heating system it was too hot and disturbed our sleep.

Cons: The room temperature at night.

Interesting place with a history

Pros: Very interesting place! Has a history of accommodating Western film and TV stars such as Roy Rogers and John Wayne. The rooms that they usually stayed in are identified by name plaques. The hotel is decorated in 'period' style accordingly. It is, however, comfortable. There is a shared lounge with information regarding the filming that took place, and there is a pool for cooling off on hot days. Enjoyed our stay here!

A nice place to stay in Lone Pine

Pros: I was there with my family and, overall, this was a good place to stay. The rooms were nice. They, like the hotel, have a historic feeling to them. The staff was very helpful. It is conveniently located downtown, this was useful since we had to get some stuff for our hike.

Cons: The lack of an elevator might be a problem for some people. Also, we changed rooms for the second night and we ended up near what seemed to be an air conditioning system that made noise the whole night.

Nice historic place to stay over.

Pros: The place was really nostalgic It was filled in with old movie style and it has a great atmosphere. Rooms were clean and nice. Again one place for sleepover. There are good places to eat around (walking distance). The pool was really nice considering the weather was quite hot.

Cons: The rooms were quite small and has seen some years. The shower space was really small. No AC so if there is hot weather then the room can get a bit hot/uncomfortable.

Pros: Full of character and glad we had a room in the original building. Linen and towels were fresh and clean, room and bed were comfortable. We sat by the pool and the free coffee was a bonus. Perfect as a one night stopover, with a good selection of eateries close by. The Western film museum is a must see, our reason for stopping there.

Cons: The shower head needs descaling! And the bathroom mirror is in a really silly place.. room 104.

Pros: Very pitoresque hotel ideal for a night stsy before exploring the nature around. Rooms are clean and comfy. Very frirndly personnel.
