Shirley Creek Retreat: a Mountain Oasis

Pros: Very nice place, which is fully equipped (e.g. washing machine, dryer, oven, wifi). We loved the location in the mountains. A deer walked around the house. It was very nice to sit on the porch and enjoy the view. The mountains and the nearby lake are beautiful.

Cons: The house can use some work, especially the smaller bathroom. The available information about the house and surroundings need an update, as not everything is correct anymore. 1 bed and 1 shower weren’t entirely clean. Everything else was clean. Town was a bit disappointing.

Great value for the price. Very clean and well-equipped cabin. We highly recommend it.

Pros: We were amazed by the cabin's surroundings and the views. Having breakfast at the porch was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Do not miss the short hike near the property.

Cons: It was further than expected from Sequoia National Park.

Rejuvenating

Pros: The location is very quiet, peaceful with two creeks. While sitting on the large deck, I enjoyed the night sky and a beautiful sunrise. It is the perfect place to rest and rejuvenate.

If you need time away from the grinding city life this is the place to go.

Pros: Wonderful, home and beautiful view of the calming mountains. The air was so peaceful. The house was clean and very comfortable. Everything you need.

Cons: The drive down the mountain. But once there so worth it.

Pros: An unforgettable experience! The location is absolutely perfect — with a waterfall just steps away and surrounded by nature in every direction. The house is super cozy, and falling asleep to the sound of crickets and running water was magical. Having breakfast on the porch while admiring the mountains and the peaceful scenery was one of the highlights of our trip. Everything was perfect, and we’ll definitely be coming back!

Cons: That we eventually had to go home!

Private mountain stay

Pros: We had a great time, my kids we're entertained 100% of the time with the horse shoe game outback, the streams to adventure in and the romping around the big piece of property behind the house. The deck is huge and offered gorgeous views. Would definitely book again!

Freiheit

Pros: großes Grundstück, Abseits gelegen. Sehr freundlicher Kontakt

Cons: in die Jahre gekommenes Objekt

Mooie locatie maar huis heeft onderhoud nodig

Pros: Locatie was geweldig. Voor mensen die rust zoeken voila. Op een mooie locatie ligt dit huisje.. Het was 's avonds echt stil. Mooie grote veranda met daaronder een soort hele grote tuin. Links hoorde je water stromen. Rechts stond de beek helaas droog. We hebben buiten bij de fireplace vuurtje gestookt en marshmallows geroosterd. In de morgen lekker op de veranda genieten. Huis heeft centrale airco en 3 kleine aparte airco's

Cons: Onderhoud laat te wensen over. Dit is jammer. Mijn jongste zoon ging op de schommel zitten en na 3 keer brak het touw. De touwen waren vergaan. Gelukkig had hij zich niet bezeerd. Badkamer is krap door de de wasmachine en droger. In de woonkamer stonden 2 banken. 1 daarvan was qua stevigheid einde oefening. Ondanks dit was het toch genieten op deze locatie

Pros: The nature was great and it wasn't to far of a drive to kernville. We had a deer as a visitor.
