Would highly recommend this place!

Pros: Great location – close to the lake and felt very peaceful. The staff were friendly and helpful. Good on-site restaurant as well, with 50% off an appetizer for hotel guests. There wasn't a TV in the room, though the wifi was good. The outdoor hot tub looked really nice, but we didn't end up braving the cold walk over to use it!

Budget friendly

Pros: It was a good price for the area and within 10 mins drive of all the casinos/restraunts.

Cons: A tv would of been nice. I seen the hotel respond to comments saying they encourage people to get out or meet in the lobby and socialise which I am 1000% for however unfortunately I belive we live in times where people are very much antisocial. Me and my partner sleep with the tv on usually so instead we sat in the lobby area for about 2 hours and atleast 6 couples walked past and not 1 of them had the decency to say hello or even the social skills to sit down and talk. This made our stay abit hard to sleep without tv. Strangely the room next to us with a thin wall seemed to have a tv blasting out. Maybe your trip will be diffrent I guess we could of been unlucky. Overall good priced hotel for the area.

Fantastic experience I’ll stay longer next time

Pros: Very quaint, good size room, love the foyer fire place. Very close to the Lake; excellent staff Richard at reception was outstanding!

Cons: Stairs but only a small flight upstairs. We weren’t told about their free shuttle so I could have saved money on having to catch Uber from the Y- transit centre to accommodation

Comfortable

Pros: We liked how it’s very clean. The bed is very nice and we had good sleep. The heater works perfectly and we feel very comfortable!

Cons: The walls were kind of thin. We could hear our “neighbors” a bit loud. It wasn’t that bad though because they got quiet pretty quickly.

Good value on the lake

Pros: Good value for South Lake Tahoe on a weekend. Great location next to the lake and the Grove restaurant.

Cons: No coffee in the room, on-site restaurant doesn’t open until 8:00, a little too late for a ski day.

A quiet old-timey hotel in the forest, cozy and warm.

Pros: Location! Quiet, in the forest, short walk to the lake, close to the Y that has everything, and the camping/cabin vibe is great.

Cons: The parking lot was kinda muddy since the snow was melting.

Cozy winter

Pros: It was my first time in Tahoe and booked the best place to stay. Earl helped out check in late and was very friendly. The property is cozy and walking distance to the beach. Coffee and tea is served in the morning. The lobby has a fireplace and welcoming atmosphere.
