Our stay was pleasant and the staff were most gracious.

Pros: It is a beautiful building full of antiques. Breakfast was excellent.

Cons: Shampoo, tissues and a hair dryer in Room 1.

Exceptional

Pros: Georgetown California is an oft-missed, small, gold rush-era town, just a gorgeous one-hour drive into the mountains from Sacramento. The beautiful Inn itself is an architectural and esthetic gem, filled with professionally curated world-class art adorning its spacious halls and walls to create a truly one-of-its-kind destination. From the moment of check-in, during the lovely breakfasts, and even when checking-out, the host and staff are exceptional: attentive, knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I'll certainly go back!

Pros: Lovely antique filled house. 15 rooms. Lovely breakfast. Eggs, maple sausage,fresh fruit bowl ...one day a fresh made bisquit, one day buttered English muffin. Coffee, tea, orange juice. The staff was gracious. Bed was comfortable. VERY CLEAN! I would definitely stay again and I am comfortable recommending to others.

Cons: Not really a don't like. But there are two flights of steep stairs to get to the 3rd floor were our room was. FYI. I do think the entrance could have been spruced up a little.

Pros: Jesse and Jason were both extremely friendly and helpful. Beautiful yard and patio. On site food truck was very tasty! Very easy drive to nearby reservoir for swimming or fishing.

Cons: The television in our room was oddly placed and awkward to use from the bed. It was pretty far away and I didn't want to turn it up loud in case it bothered other guests.

Warm, friendly and rich with history.

Pros: Jessie the butler is kind and attentive. I appreciate his eagerness to provide excellent customer service. He is also a god loving man and it shows. Sebastian is the 19 year old pup and he likes bacon. Room 15 is on the 3rd floor and it was rich with history and energy. The food truck right outside was delicious and fancy. I got the Mac and cheese burger on a brioche bun with shoe string fries. The hubby got that blue burger and it was 10/10. We love this place and are bringing our kids back this month. Breakfast was so goooood.

Pros: We love the atmosphere, Jason, the proprietor is a fantastic host. The breakfast is always amazing. We love spending time at the American River Inn!

Cons: The history, the location, the staff and the owner, all are fantastic.
