It lives up to its claim of being the best.

Pros: Great place to stay. The lady at the front desk was excellent with regards to checking in, the area in general, where to get good food and so on. The room faced a river and had a large grassy space to go out and walk around on. The Lodge is at the south end of Bridgeport and is the perfect place to go out and explore the town from. There is a really well maintained pool too, should anyone need to cool off.

Good location to visit Bodie

Pros: Room very comfortable and parking directly outside room. Restaurant over the road - easy walk, does excellent breakfast whilst the town has restaurants / cafes for snacks and dinner. Motel does not provide breakfast. Staff very friendly and helpful - provide rags to wipe dust off your vehicle following visits to Bodie.

A great, relaxing hotel with wonderful views

Pros: Nice deck for each river view room looking out over lawns and river. Access to river. BBQ's available (though we didn't use them). Great pet policy. No pet fees. Common sense pet rules. Friendly staff. Well kept. Pool & hot tub - tho they drained hot tub 10/6. Easy walk to restaurants & shops. Real glasses & mugs in room. Double sinks outside tub/shower & toilet room.

Cons: Shower water temp fluctuated - perhaps because room 30 was next to laundry room??? Could use more hand towel hooks around the sinks.

Pros: A very cozy place in a beautiful town. There are hot springs nearby which is very convenient. Great place after a good day.

Pros: We had the two-bedroom place. The master bedroom was beautiful and the view also. The kitchen was a bit old and worn, but functional. The kids loved the pool and we made use of the BBQ facilities. It's a good stop to head to Yosemite.

Cons: Two of the three BBQ's we tested were out of gas, but we reported it the next morning.

Great stay, we would definetly stay again if we are in the area.

Pros: Great location on the edge of town. We utilized the bikes, fishing and river which was right in the back, and beautiful! Room was clean, staff was nice, hot tub was a bonus.

Cons: The room smelled a little musty when we got there, but quickly faded. The pool was out of towels at times. The shower water went hot/cold when the sink was turned on.
