Basecamp Tahoe South

Fabulous winter fun!

Pros: It's the second time I have stayed here and I find it great value. Rooms are comfy, brewery is an added bonus, easy walk to all the town has to offer. A little bit of a walk to the gondola in ski boots but I have never found it an issue. Would definitely stay again.

Pros: We loved our stay, the rooms and beds were so comfortable and the staff were superb helpful. Location was excellent, close to everything.

Excellent base for discovering Lake Tahoe.

Pros: Nice atmosphere (live music in the evenings, craft beer bar), rooms with everything you need, not far from Lake Tahoe shoreline.

Have a successful stay

Pros: Basecamp South Tahoe is a nice place where we spent two days. The necessary equipment was available on site. We were welcomed without any problems. Early check-out was also possible. It was clean and spacious, the room had a large balcony. There is a bar with a garden on the hotel grounds. It is a very atmospheric place, I recommend it to everyone. On the day of our arrival there was live music. There were plenty of parking spaces.

Cons: The hotel is renovated, but there is a specific smell. After a while I got used to it. Little light reached the shower. But these are really small drawbacks.

Pros: Location was fantastic, the onsite vibe was great at the outdoor brew pub, parking was convenient and the local beach was beautiful. Was also very clean.

Cons: The bed was a banana bed, drooping badly in the middle. If it wasn’t for this discomfort and not getting a good sleep, everything would have been perfect.

Beer, fire, games, music and the lake!

Pros: Great place to stay when visiting the lake. The rooms are really nicely decorated, felt modern and spacious. The outdoor space is the real gem of this place, live music, great beer, outdoor games and fire pits. We loved sitting out by the fire on an evening. Also just a very short walk to the lake itself!

Cons: Nothing really. Parking was quite tight at the weekend.

Pros: I love Basecamp, very good coffee in rooms, comfortable bed. You can feel adventure in the air :). Nothing to add.

Pros: Great location right at state line - easy walk to all the fun of south lake. Staff were friendly and responsive.

Cons: Narrow staircase made it a little challenging in ski boots.

Pros: Great communication with staff, the food at the brewery was excellent, and the breakfast at the Cafe was great and reasonably priced.

Cons: The limited parking, no smoking area, and thin walls.

Pros: Didn’t realise breakfast was included. Wasn’t clear in checkin conversation. Enjoyed the live music by the fire.

Cons: Brighter lighting for closet area
