Lovely Host. Convenient location. Cute place.

Pros: It’s a great halfway house between Las Vegas and Yosemite. Cute and convenient with great staff. Thank you for looking after us so well Geeta. We also got a great recommendation for breakfast up the road in Bishop.

Cons: It’s a simple motel and is what it is.

Trip to Death valley

Pros: The owners are very friendly and happy to help! The location worked for our trip to death valley. We appreciated the complimentary snacks.

Cons: A bit noisy as it's next to the motorway.

Excellent room at great value with accommodating staff

Pros: Room was very well appointed and decorated, both facilities and appearance, super-clean and well-maintained, reminding me of a high-end hotel. Although room quite small, it served its purpose and had everything one could need, including refrigerator, microwave, full set of toiletries, etc. For the price a great value. And staff also really helpful and accommodating. Also less than a block to the ESTA bus stop for those traveling by bus.

Cons: Independence itself has but one sandwich shop, two gas-station markets and two taco trucks but not much else. Great for hikers passing through for a day or two but not a place you'd stay for too many nights.

Love staying at the Courtroom motel and getting to know PJ better each time!

Pros: PJ and his wife (I will ask her name next yr) are wonderful hosts. They greet people w/ humbleness and service. They provide a small basket w/ an apple and small cookie. The water is hot, the bed is firm and the carpet was fairly new. they have always presented the place as well kept. I like that there is an entrance/exit to an alley, it helps managing the parking in their small parking lot. I love staying w/ them!! and exploring the Alabama Hills!!

Cons: nothing to criticize .
