The Landing Resort and Spa

Pros: Very well located just a few blocks from heavenly village, very friendly and attentive staff welcomes you with champagne and always with the willingness to help you in everything, in addition to that inside the hotel has one of the best restaurants in the area, a true delicacy, the rooms very clean, I would definitely return

Pros: Good location, cozy, comfortable. Reception staff is very pleasant to deal with - good job. Very good amenities on site for a small 5* propert. Jimmy’s is a great restaurant and we had some od the best meals there on our month long trip through the US.

Cons: I would expect daily cleaning as it is a standard for 5* properties everywhere, not every two days. Maybe they just skipped us by accident, but we wish this wasn’t the case. The spa is good but I felt blindsided and ripped off with 22% gratuity added to my bill which was never mentioned at the time of booking. Had I known I would’ve never booked it or went elsewhere, I was simply informed that this is mandatory when my very expensive treatments were done - $100 tip is RIDICULOUS. This left a very bitter taste to the whole experience and I think it’s unacceptable. I wish I never went, and not sure if we’d return with this dishonest practice.

Pros: Stunning views of the lake, especially if you have a lakefront room. Welcome Champagne, hot chocolate, good local travel advice, really friendly staff, rooms are snacking with a balcony and fire place. Hot Tub and heated pool. Bar & Restaurant are excellent. Breakfast/ Brunch is served until past noon.

Cons: Check in time of 4 pm is quite late. They also charge parking fees. Both were a guest for me in all my travels around the world so it just felt unusual.

Great location

Pros: Nice location opposite lake, and a short walk to the shops / restaurants/ bars at Heavenly village

Cons: The roof terrace wasn’t really set up for guests, I think after a wedding having taken place. Although a nice hotel, it was very expensive compared to others we were staying at during our trip jn Northern California.

Pros: The staff, especially the door staff, were excellent!

A really nice place to stay just near the lake

Pros: A really good hotel, comfortable and spacious rooms, nice pool area, and just near the beach. Super friendly staff that goes above and beyond. Food at the restaurant is good, although a bit limited options. Free bikes are available to guests, but in all honesty, they are in such poor condition that you can’t drive much more than a few miles from the hotel.

Cons: Parking charges - which we weren’t aware of - are really high. 30$+tax while there’s plenty of free street parking is absolutely unacceptable. As a minimum, you should explicitly ask your guests in advance if they want to use it and explain the cost and the alternatives. No breakfast included, but we knew that.

Pros: Jimmy’s restaurant on site was great. Friendly feel and clean, well appointed room.

Cons: Parking wasn’t free - which seemed unnecessary

Pros: The Landing Resort & Spa is a lovely retreat for those looking to relax. The location is simply stunning, offering breathtaking views of the lake and mountains that create a peaceful ambiance. The rooms are spacious, well-maintained, and provide a cozy environment to relax in. Although the fireplace in the room wasn’t functional during my visit, it didn’t take away from the overall enjoyment of the stay. It’s a fantastic place for a quiet getaway, and I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking to unwind and recharge.
