We love to stay at Topaz Lodge when travelling up the 395. Nice clean rooms & lovely lake view.

Super easy and fun place to stay for a night.

Pros: Handy location, with everything you need in one place - Quirky. Casino, Friendly staff, Bar, cafe, restaurant, Gas station and great views over the lake. Pet friendly but we stayed in the non pet rooms (101 to 105 have a beautiful morning sunrise over the lake filling the room with sunlight) Great cafe food includes a vegan burger and a few other vegan options.

Cons: The smell/ air in the casino smells like it has had too many doses of air freshener and needs to be opened up on a windy day for a good airing.

One Night is Doable!

Pros: The service was good and the breakfast too. The free drink and discount breakfast voucher was a nice surprise. Our room was away from the main building and casino, a bonus! Great views of the lake.

Cons: It's 20 miles outside of the town of Gardnerville, something they don't advertise, so we were unprepared for that. The room was comfy and large, but really dated, noisey air con as well.

Another Great Visit

Pros: From the smooth check in to the view of the lake and snow covered mountains, this place is great. Dinner was delicious.

I keep coming back

Pros: Topaz Lodge has always been a very comfortable stay and that's why I continue to return here.

Cons: The only part I had trouble with was walking to the car from my room because I'm handicapped but it was not that bad we made it work.
